What You’ll Do
As a Microbiology Technician working for our confidential client you will support laboratory operations focused on food, dietary supplements, and hemp/CBD testing. Typical responsibilities include:
- Prepare and process samples using proper handling procedures and aseptic techniques
- Conduct routine microbiological analyses including serial dilutions, enrichments, and plating
- Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment, media, and microorganisms to meet standards such as ISO 17025 and FDA GMPs
- Enter test data accurately into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and maintain detailed records
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, manage consumables and media inventory, and operate autoclaves
- Follow established SOPs and participate in routine documentation and traceability tasks
Shift & Pay
- Pay: $21.00 per hour (listed in source posting)
- Schedule: Wed–Sat 9:30 AM–7:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts). Initial training: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for the first month.

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred for technician roles; Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related field for more advanced positions
- 0–2 years laboratory experience for entry-level candidates; additional experience or education may be required for senior roles
- Proficiency with basic microbiological testing procedures, media preparation, and general lab techniques
- Experience or ability to learn LIMS and other laboratory software for data management
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Commitment to safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance
