Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring Microbiology / QC Laboratory Operators on a 12-month contract (Monday–Friday) for a site that manufactures adjuvants used in vaccine products. These roles sit inside the Quality Control organization and support either the Microbiology Lab or the Chemistry Lab. There is potential for conversion to full-time employment (FTE) after the contract period.
What you’ll do
- Operate in a regulated QC laboratory supporting vaccine adjuvant manufacturing.
- Perform microbiology testing (e.g., bioburden and endotoxin assays) and follow established test methods.
- Execute aseptic technique, accurate pipetting, and routine sample handling.
- Run and document wet chemistry and instrumental assays in the Chemistry Lab when assigned (HPLC/UPLC/GC, spectrophotometry, Karl Fischer titration, particle size analysis).
- Maintain Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), keep clear and compliant laboratory records, and follow safety and quality procedures (SOPs).
- Clean and prepare lab glassware and basic laboratory support tasks when needed; train on basic wet chemistry assays as required.
- Communicate results, escalate non-conformances, and work with supervisors to support investigations and continuous improvement.
Who we’re looking for
- Hands-on laboratory experience with pipetting, aseptic technique, and GLP is required.
- Microbiology candidates: experience with bioburden and endotoxin testing is preferred.
- Chemistry candidates: experience with HPLC/UPLC/GC or other chromatography and wet chemistry assays is preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with relevant lab support experience (e.g., glassware washing) who are willing to train on assays may be considered.
- A Bachelor of Science is a strong plus but not required if practical laboratory experience is demonstrated. Advanced degrees will not automatically disqualify candidates.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and good communication skills.
Work schedule & employment type
- 12-month contract, Monday through Friday.
