What You’ll Do
This accelerated Management & Sales Training Program prepares entry-level professionals for store management in an 18–24 month development path. As a trainee with Confidential Client, you will complete an initial 8-week training curriculum, work alongside store leadership to learn operations and sales, and take part in outside-sales activities targeting large commercial customers and contractors. The role blends hands-on retail operations, professional sales, leadership development, and community relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete training consistent with the program timeline and milestones
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain product knowledge to provide effective recommendations
- Develop positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
- Execute store administration tasks and maintain accurate records
- Maintain store condition and visual merchandising, including promotions
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns
- Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to grow market share
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the program start date
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year in a leadership role or supervising others
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, military)
- Prior experience selling paint or paint-related products (helpful, not required)
- Experience with timekeeping and/or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities
- Multilingual ability; Spanish language skills are a plus
Compensation & Schedule
- Estimated compensation: $69,200 per year (estimated)
- Typical schedule: 44 hours/week; may include evenings and weekends
- This program offers structured leadership development and a clear career trajectory toward assistant store management and beyond. Specific benefits and relocation support, if applicable, will be provided by Confidential Client during the hiring process.
