What You’ll Do

This entry-level role supports engineering, production, quality, and technical services in a manufacturing setting. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist with metallurgical evaluations, material analysis, and product testing
• Support troubleshooting for manufacturing and quality issues
• Help review specifications, procedures, and technical documentation
• Participate in process improvement and Lean initiatives
• Work with production teams to support daily manufacturing operations
• Collect, analyze, and report production and quality data
• Support implementation of process improvements and corrective actions
• Learn manufacturing processes related to alloys, brazing materials, and powder processing
• Assist Quality and Engineering teams with investigations, audits, and corrective actions
• Support development and maintenance of SOPs and process documentation
• Participate in cross-functional training to develop metallurgy, welding, and materials knowledge

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Recent graduate or 0–3 years of related experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or engineering
• Exposure to metallurgy, welding, or industrial processes
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Work performed in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Frequent exposure to industrial dusts and metal powders (e.g., nickel, chrome, cobalt, copper, silicon, iron)
• Required use of PPE: safety glasses, steel-toe footwear, hearing protection, respiratory protection as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed
• Exposure to noise, moving equipment, forklifts, and varying temperatures
• Flexible hours and overtime may be required based on production demands
