What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Merchandiser in Omaha, NE. This is a full-time, hands-on role that provides training and exposure to commodity merchandising, supply chain coordination, and risk-management activities in an agribusiness context.
- Merchandise soybeans and finished soybean products
- Negotiate transactions with suppliers and end-users
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and suppliers
- Support supply chain coordination to optimize deliveries and operations
- Participate in risk management activities and learn hedging fundamentals
- Research, analyze, and interpret market and industry data to inform decisions
- Represent Confidential Client at plant locations, customer sites, and industry events
- Travel periodically to production facilities and customer locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, or a related field
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Comfortable negotiating in a competitive environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Interest or background in agriculture, grain, soy trading, or related products is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally to plant and customer locations
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary: $64,100 per year (estimated)
