Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a full-time overnight Mental Health Worker to join a Community Crisis Stabilization Unit in Taunton, MA. This is an entry-level, direct-care role providing short‑term, voluntary, no‑restraint support to adults in crisis. The overnight shift is Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Compensation & perks:

  • Pay rate: $20–$23 per hour
  • Sign‑on bonus: $3,000
  • Estimated annualized pay: ~$69,199 (for informational purposes)

What You’ll Do

  • Provide overnight, direct care and supervision for adults in a short‑term crisis stabilization program.
  • Complete client admissions and initial intake paperwork.
  • Monitor clients on the milieu and observe for safety and clinical needs.
  • Maintain accurate daily records in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with clinicians (doctors, nurses, therapists) to support client treatment plans and aftercare planning.
  • Implement verbal and physical de‑escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Support telephone triage for the Emergency Service Program as needed.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks as appropriate (meals, laundry, light cleaning) and assist with completing application/forms for aftercare services.
  • Provide transportation using agency vehicles when required.
  • Maintain compliance with practice standards and HIPAA/confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform related duties to support unit operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence and ability to provide a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete Massachusetts and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) checks.
  • Computer literacy sufficient to complete EMR documentation and related tasks.
  • Ability to perform the physical and emotional duties of direct care work, including de‑escalation techniques.
  • This role is designated as emergency personnel — availability for assignments consistent with that designation is required.

Note: All background checks, driving record reviews, and CORI checks will be conducted in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.


Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

  • Experience working in crisis stabilization, mental health, or residential behavioral health settings.
  • Training or certification in crisis intervention, CPI, or related de‑escalation techniques.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Schedule & Location

  • Shift: Overnight, Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM (full time).
  • Work location: Onsite — Taunton, MA (Confidential Client facility).
  • This position requires occasional use of a client vehicle for transport and travel within the service area.
