What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform accurate, timely clinical laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment. You will operate automated and manual laboratory instruments, perform quality control, troubleshoot equipment, and review analytic data before releasing results. Work involves handling blood, tissue, sputum, urine, spinal fluid and other body fluids that may contain infectious agents.
- Perform complex analyses of body fluids and tissues and evaluate data validity before reporting results.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and automation systems.
- Run and document quality control (QC) and equipment maintenance; interpret QC data.
- Apply infection control and safety practices when handling specimens.
- Communicate professionally with clinicians, laboratory staff, patients, and families.
- Assist with method evaluation, installation of new equipment, and training of new staff and students.
- Maintain continuing education and competency requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- ASCP certification (or equivalent) preferred — MLT/MLT(ASCP) or Medical Technologist certification per source requirements.
- Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field (per job posting).
- Strong skills in quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and test interpretation.
- Professional customer-service skills and effective verbal/written communication.
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and continuous learning.
