What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (Hematology) to join their clinical laboratory team in Newhall, CA. You will perform routine hematology testing, support laboratory operations, maintain equipment, and help ensure results meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Perform and document analytical hematology procedures per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Review and interpret analytical data; confirm results meet acceptable tolerances and escalate out-of-spec or unusual findings
- Prepare and validate data for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) upload
- Execute calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned laboratory instruments and automation
- Support quality investigations and corrective actions; document findings and assist with root-cause analysis
- Mentor and guide entry-level staff on routine hematology techniques and proper documentation
- Follow laboratory safety procedures including infection control and hazardous chemical handling
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education with relevant laboratory experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment (clinical, CAP/CLIA, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory standards
- Hands-on experience with hematology testing, lab automation, and LIMS
- Competency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Schedule & Compensation
- Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (full-time)
- Location: Newhall, CA (on-site)
- Base salary range: $41,400–$86,100 per year
The posted salary range is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency laws for California.
