What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technologist (Blood Bank). You will follow laboratory policies and procedures to perform high- and moderate-complexity testing and provide pre-analytical and post-analytical support. Clear communication with your team and accurate, timely work are essential to optimizing laboratory operations and ensuring patient safety.

  • Accurately and efficiently perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes for laboratory testing
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment per manufacturer instructions
  • Perform and evaluate required quality control checks before reporting patient results
  • Evaluate laboratory test results according to protocols to ensure quality patient care
  • Document laboratory activities in line with policies and procedures
  • Maintain and demonstrate competency in assigned areas
  • Complete assigned mandatory training and tasks within required timelines
  • Take responsibility for personal development and skill growth

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards
  • Adhere to Confidential Client requirements for protecting patient health information (PHI)
  • Participate in annual training and follow Confidential Client policies and procedures

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution — required for performing high-complexity testing under CLIA ’88; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in another field plus an Associate’s Degree in clinical laboratory science and ASCP (or equivalent) certification — acceptable

Experience

  • Entry-level: less than 1 year required. This role is part of an established career ladder; title and pay will be assigned based on education and experience.
