About the role
Confidential Client is hiring a mission-driven Medical Lab Technologist / Lab Scientist to join their clinical laboratory team in Denver, CO. In this role you will perform a broad range of clinical laboratory testing, validate results, maintain quality control, troubleshoot instrumentation and assays, and contribute to staff training and process improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Perform and authenticate routine and moderately complex laboratory tests according to departmental procedures and regulatory standards.
- Carry out quality control, proficiency testing, routine maintenance, and documentation for assays and instruments (approx. 25%).
- Provide troubleshooting support for technical staff and coordinate with vendors to maintain equipment uptime and testing turnaround (approx. 25%).
- Analyze pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical quality indicators to ensure accurate results (approx. 20%).
- Advise supervisors on projects, investigations, and quality issues; participate in corrective actions (approx. 15%).
- Assist with training, competency assessments, and professional development for laboratory staff and MLS students (approx. 15%).
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: 1–3 years’ experience as an entry-level Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent in a healthcare setting.
- Licenses / Certifications: MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, QC and competency requirements in clinical labs.
- Proven troubleshooting skills for assays and laboratory instrumentation.
- Good written and verbal communication; ability to work with clinicians and laboratory staff to support patient safety.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $63,142 per year (estimated).
- Wage range provided by source: $31.92 - $47.88 / hr.
