Confidential Client is seeking a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate based in Broomall, PA. This is an entry-level, hybrid, full-time role (with limited travel up to 5%) supporting the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for vertical building projects in hospitality, mixed-use, and MEP markets. The position includes mentorship, structured development, and opportunities to work on renovation and systems-upgrade projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using industry-standard engineering tools and software.
  • Prepare design documents, specifications, and calculations that meet applicable codes and client standards.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation to meet deadlines and budget expectations.
  • Communicate with clients to gather requirements and clearly present technical information.
  • Collaborate with project teams and multidisciplinary partners (architects, electrical, project managers).
  • Participate in quality control processes to ensure designs meet firm and industry standards.
  • Analyze low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks and propose practical solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, energy-efficiency goals (e.g., MEP2050/AIA2030 alignment), and emerging technologies.

What You’ll Bring

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (required).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or equivalent (required).

Technical Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics as applied to building mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC load calculation software and other industry-standard engineering tools.
  • Basic experience with BIM software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn.

Preferred

  • Prior internship experience in building design or consulting preferred.
  • EIT certification noted as preferred where applicable.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and grasp.
  • Limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions and elevated noise levels.

About the Team

You’ll join a mechanical/MEP team focused on gaming, hospitality, and mixed-use projects — with a strong profile in renovation, system upgrades, and operational refreshes (guestroom/corridor renovations, casino floor reconfigurations, central plant upgrades, and related fit-out work). Project work often includes coordination across electrical, security, telecom, AV, and acoustics where required.
