What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Mechanical Engineering Analyst to support multidisciplinary teams evaluating hardware designs for structural, vibration, and thermal performance, and potential CFD applications. You will perform engineering analyses (hand calculations and FEA), prepare technical documentation and concise result summaries, and collaborate with supervisors and technical leads to meet project milestones.

  • Support engineering teams by performing mechanical analyses in structural (stress, vibration) and thermal domains; CFD experience is a plus.
  • Prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate methods and results.
  • Create, set up, and run finite element models: geometry prep, mesh generation, boundary conditions, solution parameters, model execution, and post-processing.
  • Apply foundational engineering principles and follow established mechanical engineering processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to multi-discipline team efforts and project/program milestones under the general guidance of supervisors and team leads.
  • Use common office/presentation tools (Microsoft Office or equivalents) to package deliverables for stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering field.
  • 0–2 years of mechanical engineering experience (entry-level).
  • U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Relevant coursework in mechanics, structures, thermodynamics, or related areas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Internship or project experience applying FEA or CFD methods.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus) and/or CFD packages.
  • Familiarity with scripting or internal analysis tools for automating workloads.
  • Ability to present technical results to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and customer-focused attitude.
