Role summary
Confidential Client is seeking Mechanical Engineers (Entry, Mid, or Senior levels) to support nuclear power plant engineering and operations in Quakertown, PA. Work will focus on engineering analysis, technical problem solving, design/support of plant systems, configuration management, and outage/emergency response activities.
What You’ll Do
- Provide in-depth mechanical engineering expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, programs, and corrective actions.
- Investigate and resolve equipment and system problems; provide technical consultation and recommendations.
- Manage engineering tasks from scoping through implementation, ensuring proper configuration control and documentation.
- Prepare and review plans, specifications, studies, and analyses using standard design criteria, industry codes, and regulations.
- Recommend improvements in equipment, materials, and techniques to optimize performance, reduce costs, and comply with regulatory changes.
- Participate in outage support, emergency response, cross-departmental coverage, and other assigned duties as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Entry-Level: $87,000 per year (estimated)
- Mid-Level: $92,700 – $114,000 per year (estimated)
- Senior-Level: $122,400 – $154,000 per year (estimated)

Minimum Qualifications
Minimums vary by level:
Entry Level (E01)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Ability to meet site access and medical requirements, where applicable.
Mid-Level (E02)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- ~2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to meet site access and medical requirements, where applicable.
Senior Level (E03)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- ~5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Ability to meet site access and medical requirements, where applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Nuclear Modification Design Process (NMDP).
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or working toward registration.
- Advanced technical degree (M.S., Ph.D.) or relevant graduate coursework.
- Prior nuclear plant experience and strong knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Additional Requirements & Work Environment
- This position supports nuclear plant operations and will typically require on-site presence at the Quakertown, PA location; candidates must be prepared for possible outage work, call-outs, and emergency response duties.
- Some roles require maintaining unescorted access and meeting medical/fitness-for-duty standards consistent with plant requirements.
- Employment is subject to company policies and any regulatory clearances required for work at nuclear facilities.
