What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Analysis & Test (MA&T) Engineer (entry level) with our confidential client, you will help ensure structural and thermal design robustness across engineering products—working from initial concept through qualification testing and production support. You’ll apply classical and modern analysis methods (hand calculations, FEA) and support test planning, execution, and correlation.
- Perform hand calculations and establish requirements for higher-order analysis
- Carry out detailed structural analyses to solve program-level design challenges
- Create test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance with requirements
- Analyze test data to validate and correlate models and to generate mechanical loads/environments
- Collaborate with experienced analysts on problems of moderate complexity under program cost and schedule constraints
- Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews to ensure accuracy of deliverables
- Present technical results to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Produce detailed, archival technical reports
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience with a solid-modeling CAD tool such as CREO (or equivalent)
- Academic or professional experience in structural design and analysis
- Academic or professional experience with any of: PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABAQUS (or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MATLAB
- Experience in structural test and instrumentation
- Advanced degree in related disciplines (ABET accreditation preferred but not required)
Location, Clearance & Work Type
- Worksite: Triana, AL — this is an onsite role (employees will work primarily on-site).
- U.S. citizenship is required because security clearance is required for this position.
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date is required.
- Required clearance level: DoD Secret (ability to possess or obtain required clearance prior to start).
- Relocation eligibility may be available.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 - $108,800 USD per year.
