Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense applications.
• Support creation and execution of test plans for mechanical products and subsystems.
• Perform basic analyses and simulations to validate designs and report results.
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings and reports for review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet design requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design and test issues.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role (entry-level candidates encouraged).
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and practical CAD experience.
• Familiarity with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and basic simulation/analysis workflows.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to national security contract requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Internship or project experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, materials selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
• Understanding of environmental requirements for aircraft or space components.
• Exposure to CATIA or similar advanced CAD platforms.

• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Work primarily in an office or hybrid environment.
• Apply systematic, logical problem-solving techniques to develop mechanical designs.
• Communicate technical information, design specifications, and project updates clearly to team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to review and interpret technical documents, designs, and test reports.

Important: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary: $109,943 per year (estimated).
