What You’ll Do

This entry-level Mechanical Engineer I role supports MEP building systems design across multiple project types and geographies. You will work on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems while building technical skills and contributing to project delivery.

  • Lead or support mechanical system design tasks (HVAC, plumbing, piping) from concept through construction documents.
  • Produce and review Revit and AutoCAD deliverables and coordinate BIM models with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor and train junior MEP staff on technical standards and best practices.
  • Support proposals and project scoping—help define deliverables, schedules, and resource estimates.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and incorporate feedback.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain project documentation, and ensure quality of work through reviews and testing where applicable.
  • Participate in continuous learning to expand technical expertise and industry knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • 0–2 years of related MEP design experience (entry-level candidates with internships/co-ops are encouraged).
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM coordination workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical information to internal teams and clients.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and mechanical piping.
  • EIT certification preferred; willingness to pursue PE licensure is expected.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE license or active progress toward PE licensure.
  • Prior experience mentoring or training junior staff.
  • Experience with project proposals, scopes of work, and client-facing activities.
  • Comfortable working across multiple regional markets and collaborating remotely with distributed teams.

Location & Compensation

  • Location: Peachtree Corners, GA (role is remote-eligible / TELECOMMUTE and may be based in one of the client’s regional offices, including Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, Jacksonville, Tampa, Port Orange, Columbia SC, Charlotte NC, Huntsville AL, Mobile AL, and New Orleans LA).
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Estimated pay (from source): $78,828 per year (estimated).
