What You’ll Do

• Apply or develop advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts for systems integration of propulsion, thrusters, controllers, software, and mechanical/electrical interfaces for missile systems and space vehicles.
• Support both development and production programs across product lines.
• Review manufacturing processes and resolve production issues; work directly with subcontractors on the design and manufacture of solid rocket motor propulsion systems.
• Collaborate with program management on long-range technical planning and act as a technical representative on program capabilities and direction.
• Manage propulsion system development projects and subcontracts; review subcontractor data and change requests; oversee supplier operations.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to management and government stakeholders.
• Interface frequently with customers to identify user needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM major completed by start date.
• Experience with development of solid propulsion systems from concept through test and assembly (experience may come from work, research, coursework, or projects).
• Ability to work effectively on engineering teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Systems-level knowledge to develop propulsion requirements and flow them to subcomponent levels.
• Project engineering skills and familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems.
• Experience as a proposal/cost account manager or project/team lead.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary efforts (structural, thermal, aerodynamics, low observables).
• Willingness to travel, including internationally, for supplier support.
• Supplier collaboration experience (specifications, SOWs) and oversight.
• Working knowledge of missile design, development, production support, or integration.

Location & Security Clearance

• Onsite role located in Marlborough, MA.
• U.S. citizenship is required. An active/transferable U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start date; ability to obtain an INTERIM U.S. government security clearance may be required.
• Security Clearance Type: DoD Clearance — Secret.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 – $108,800 USD per year.
• Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible schedules, employee assistance programs, educational assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays (specific benefits depend on business unit and role).
• Relocation eligibility may apply.
