What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is looking for an entry-level Mechanical Engineer (contract-to-hire) based in Grandview Heights, OH. You will support product design and manufacturing for custom heating solutions used across multiple industries. This is an onsite position and a great opportunity to grow your design and FEA skills while working closely with manufacturing, testing, sales, and customers.

• Review design specifications from sales and application engineering for manufacturability and feasibility
• Recreate customer geometry from hand sketches, 2D drawings, or 3D files using SolidWorks
• Complete heating-element layout and component designs following design-for-manufacturing best practices
• Produce and review shop drawings, bills of materials (BOM), bills of operations (BOO), and product labels
• Perform heat-transfer and flow analyses for freeze protection, condensation prevention, and process heating
• Work with manufacturing and test lab personnel to troubleshoot, validate, and iterate custom solutions
• Assist Application Engineering and Sales with application specs and customer questions
• Communicate directly with customers when required
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical degree)
• At least one internship and/or co-op experience in a manufacturing/design-focused mechanical engineering role
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawing creation
• FEA experience (ANSYS or similar) with coursework or hands-on work in heat transfer or flow analysis
• Familiarity with basic electrical circuits and mechanical design fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Eligible to work onsite in Grandview Heights, OH

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (M.E.) — preferred but not required
• Background in Mechanical Engineering Technology (M.E.T.) with strong FEA skills will be considered
• CFD experience and practical knowledge of heat-transfer calculations

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $28.85 - $33.65 per hour (Contract-to-hire). Final offer will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
