What You’ll Do

This role supports generation engineering projects and assignments under direction from higher-level engineers. You will apply engineering fundamentals to solve well-defined problems, assist on larger analyses, and gain hands-on experience with standards, equipment, and business processes used in power generation.

• Assist senior engineers on generation projects and technical analyses
• Apply engineering theory to defined problems and follow established procedures
• Prepare routine reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
• Learn and apply relevant industry standards, codes, and safety practices
• Coordinate with peers and other teams to complete assigned tasks on schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on design, operations, and maintenance activities for generation assets
• Perform basic engineering analyses and contribute to larger studies under supervision
• Use scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT, flow charts) to support project planning and status monitoring
• Prepare cost estimates using established standards and document assumptions
• Participate in team meetings, technical reports, and presentations
• Demonstrate initiative by proposing process improvements and documenting lessons learned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required for the entry-level grade
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology may qualify if they obtain a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is encouraged and preferred
• This is suitable for new graduates or early-career engineers; final grade and compensation depend on education, experience, and skills
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

• Familiarity with power generation systems, relevant codes, and industry best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic project planning and scheduling experience (CPM, PERT)
• Ability to prepare estimates and work with cost standards
• Team-oriented attitude and ability to take direction while contributing ideas
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving capability

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation varies by grade and experience. The client posts a hiring range to support pay transparency:

• Engineer / Engineer Technologist Associate: $74,551 - $93,188 per year
• Engineer / Engineer Technologist: $87,633 - $109,542 per year
• Engineer / Engineer Technologist Sr: $98,993 - $128,688 per year
