What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer (Associate) to support the design, development, and lifecycle support of mechanical and electronic training hardware used in federal propulsion training programs. In this role you will:
- Support product lifecycle activities for existing training systems and new product initiatives
- Prepare engineering specifications, mechanical designs, fabrication and procurement packages
- Create and maintain engineering documentation and drawings
- Use CAD tools to model parts and assemblies and produce manufacturing deliverables
- Coordinate testing, troubleshooting, and installation of training equipment
- Work with government, contractor, Navy personnel, and vendors to define requirements and resolve technical issues
- Travel domestically as required to support installations, acceptance tests, and field support
What We’re Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical, engineering, or science field from an accredited college or university; a Master’s degree is also acceptable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with government and contractor stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and organization/multitasking skills
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing in accordance with federal contractor policies (marijuana testing required)
Preferred Skills
- Degree emphasis in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, or Systems Engineering
- Hands-on experience or coursework with AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Experience producing engineering documentation and manufacturing drawings
- Continuous-improvement mindset and self-starter attitude
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $63,900 - $97,800 per year (salary dependent on experience and qualifications)
