MDM Data Analyst I-IV (Depends on Experience)
The MDM Data Analyst role at Confidential Client involves managing and improving master data quality and governance across multiple business domains using the Profisee MDM platform. Position Overview
Confidential Client (a public power electric utility) is seeking MDM Data Analyst candidates across four levels (I–IV). These roles support enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) operations, data quality, stewardship, and governance using Profisee or comparable MDM platforms. Multiple levels are available to match experience and responsibility — from entry-level stewardship tasks to enterprise-level rule design and governance leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Perform record-level stewardship, validation, and data quality exception handling in Profisee (SaaS) or similar MDM tools.
- Design, configure, and tune validation, standardization, matching, and survivorship rules (varies by level).
- Run profiling and health checks; analyze anomalies and recommend upstream fixes.
- Maintain metadata: domain dictionaries, hierarchies, attribute mappings, lineage, and versioned rule catalogs.
- Execute match/merge reviews, survivorship outcomes, and complex remediation (higher levels).
- Participate in UAT, document results, and support production rule releases.
- Collaborate with business SMEs, Data Engineering, analytics, and governance groups to align domain models and integrations.
- Mentor and coach junior analysts (Levels III–IV) and contribute to stewardship playbooks and governance forums.
Essential Functions
Note: functions below reflect the different expectations by level (I–IV). All roles must adhere to safety, regulatory, and security requirements, including NERC CIP eligibility where applicable.
- Execute assigned MDM workflows, record validation, attribute updates, and controlled imports/exports.
- Implement and monitor data quality metrics and validation jobs.
- Maintain clear documentation of decisions, exceptions, and rule changes in Confluence/SharePoint.
- Participate in governance meetings, impact analysis, and domain readiness activities.
- Support audits, compliance requests, and regulatory reporting as required (senior levels).
Qualifications
MDM Data Analyst I
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field — or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- ~2 years' experience in master data, data stewardship, data quality, or related work.
- Foundational SQL or data profiling skills; understanding of MDM concepts and governance processes.
MDM Data Analyst II
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- ~4 years' progressively responsible experience in MDM/data stewardship.
- Prior experience with an MDM platform (preferably Profisee), profiling, rule configuration, and match/merge review.
MDM Data Analyst III
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- ~6 years' progressively responsible experience with advanced MDM rule design, cross-domain validation, and metadata governance.
- Strong Profisee (or comparable) subject-matter expertise and mentoring experience.
MDM Data Analyst IV
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s preferred for senior strategic roles.
- ~8 years' enterprise-level MDM, governance, and stewardship experience.
- Proven ability to lead cross-domain strategy, governance councils, and enterprise rule standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications or progress toward CDS, DGSP, CDMP, or similar stewardship/governance credentials.
- Domain knowledge in Finance, Supply Chain, Customer, Product, or Supplier data.
- Experience translating business policies into system-enforceable rules and integrating MDM with data engineering pipelines (APIs, batch sync, event-driven patterns).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary (by level):
- Level I: $97,786 - $163,405 (Midpoint: $130,596)
- Level II: $104,822 - $177,107 (Midpoint: $140,964)
- Level III: $112,585 - $192,317 (Midpoint: $152,452)
- Level IV: $121,165 - $209,233 (Midpoint: $165,199)
- Confidential Client posts full salary ranges for each level. Actual starting pay will depend on qualifications, experience, internal alignment, and organizational needs.

Location & Work Arrangement
- Location: Ephrata, WA — on-site work at assigned business unit locations with potential hybrid arrangements where eligible.
- This role requires compliance with site-specific security requirements. Some positions will require NERC CIP access and background screening.
