Math Teacher

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks a licensed Math Teacher (6th–12th grade) to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for youth in an alternative K–12 school setting. You will:
- Create a supportive, engaging classroom environment that meets diverse learning needs.
- Design and deliver lesson plans aligned to the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) curriculum, with culturally responsive and inclusive instruction.
- Differentiate instruction for students with individualized education plans (IEPs), special needs, or behavioral and emotional challenges.
- Use data and formative assessment to drive instruction and track student progress.
- Collaborate with families, classroom staff, and support teams to support students’ academic and socio-emotional growth.
- Model positive behavior, teach life skills, and use trauma-informed strategies to support student regulation and relationship-building.
- Maintain student privacy and follow all youth-safety and reporting protocols.
Who You Are
We value educators who are mission-driven, patient, and experienced working with historically underserved students or those with emotional/behavioral needs. Required and preferred qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate for grades 6–12 (or ability to obtain one prior to start).
- At least 2–3 years of successful classroom management experience working with students who have emotional or behavioral challenges (EBD) or other high-support needs.
- Comfortable using computers and MS Office for lesson prep, recordkeeping, and communication.
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practice.
- Ability to be physically engaged in programming and lift at least 30 lbs when required.
- Must meet client background- and youth-safety requirements; applicants must be at least 21 years old (or meet applicable legal minimums) where required for positions working directly with youth.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $46,795 — $64,940 per year (actual offer will consider experience, education, licensure, and internal equity).

Workplace & Schedule
- Location: Milwaukee, WI (on-site).
- Full-time schedule; specific hours and school calendar to be confirmed by the client.
- This role may require occasional physical intervention in rare safety situations; training and policies will be provided.
