What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Material Planning Analyst to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing production planning at a manufacturing site. This role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery through active materials planning, expediting, and close coordination with manufacturing and NPI teams.
- Track and manage inter- and intra-plant work-in-process (WIP) and promise dating.
- Expedite orders for new products and drive resolution of part shortages.
- Monitor shipments and supplier performance; perform escalated expediting when required.
- Support NPI supply and demand planning activities and create timelines/visibility for shortages.
- Develop monthly production volume plans using business forecasts, inventory positions, customer orders, and capacity constraints.
- Coordinate NPI timelines and long-lead item tracking with cross-functional teams.
- Track metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and strengthen SIOP capability.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production and material plans that align with forecasts and plant capacity.
- Prioritize and manage shortage resolution; oversee command center activities when required.
- Provide timely visibility and status updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Support development of processes to improve supply reliability and sustainability.
- Identify opportunities to adopt technologies or process changes that improve materials planning and downstream performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, Logistics, or related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant materials planning, production planning, or supply chain experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel required).
- Well organized with effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and coordinate across functions.
- Must be authorized to work and provide required documentation; employment may require identity and work-authorization verification.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $68,446 per year (estimated).
- Benefits (where applicable through the staffing arrangement) may include medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, life and disability options, retirement savings access, paid holidays, and paid sick leave per local rules. Actual eligibility and plan details depend on assignment type and location.
