What You’ll Do
This entry-level Material Planning Analyst position supports New Product Introduction (NPI) supply and demand planning for a manufacturing confidential client in Puerto Rico. Responsibilities include:
- Track and manage inter- and intra-plant work-in-process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to maintain flow and on-time delivery
- Oversee or support command center activities and drive part-shortage resolution
- Monitor shipments and tracking status; perform escalated expediting with internal suppliers when needed
- Develop monthly production volume plans using business forecasts, inventory position, actual customer orders, and capacity parameters
- Support planning for capacity and fulfillment with plant manufacturing operations
- Coordinate NPI timelines and long-lead item planning with cross-functional teams
- Create and provide customer timelines to give visibility on shortages
- Track metrics to measure results and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and recommend tools or process improvements to strengthen materials planning, SIOP capability, and supply reliability
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, Logistics, or a related field
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing planning
- Effective written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel skills preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional coordination
- Interest in process improvement and metrics-driven problem solving
