Summary
This is an entry-level Material Inventory Clerk role supporting a confidential client in the Logistics & Warehouse industry. The position is a full-time, contract-hire shift role (night shift) based in Heltonville, IN. Typical pay is $48,000–$50,000 per year (DOE) plus benefits and PTO. Training is provided — no prior inventory experience required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage part deliveries: schedule, adjust and cancel deliveries as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and report or act on shortages
- Implement recovery transportation plans for critical shortages
- Input and maintain inventory and delivery data in computer systems
- Read and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; use logistics/inventory management software
- Communicate with suppliers, facility personnel, and team members via phone, email, and handheld radio
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule & Location
- Night shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday–Friday (some Saturdays as needed)
- On-site in Heltonville, IN
- Non-remote position
Compensation
- Pay type: Salaried (contract/full-time)
- Pay range: $48,000 — $50,000 per year (DOE)
- The final offer may consider experience, education, and internal equity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Comfortable using computers, MS Excel and basic office software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Reliable attendance for night-shift schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ year administrative experience preferred
- Relevant inventory/logistics experience (helpful but not required)
