Position Overview

The Marketing Specialist supports day-to-day marketing and communications activities for a growing PR & marketing team. This entry / early-career role helps manage social media channels, internal communications, marketing collateral, and project coordination to ensure content is on-brand, accurate, and delivered on schedule. You will work hybrid (in-office + remote) and contribute to digital campaigns, employee communications, and content production.


Schedule & Employment Type

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Hybrid work model
  • Employment type: Full time (Contractor engagement possible as noted)

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $18.33 – $38.90 per hour (paid in USD)

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field preferred — relevant internship, academic or professional experience will also be considered
  • Internship or early-career experience in marketing, communications, public relations or social media
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team and managing multiple small projects

Key Responsibilities

Digital & Social Media

  • Maintain the social media content calendar and support day-to-day management of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Draft, schedule and publish social content that aligns with brand voice and marketing priorities
  • Coordinate content, assets and approvals for upcoming posts; proactively identify content opportunities
  • Monitor engagement, handle basic community interactions, and track core performance metrics
  • Stay current on social trends and recommend new approaches

Internal Communications

  • Support development and distribution of the employee newsletter: gather content, draft, proofread and format for internal audiences
  • Maintain and update intranet content to keep information accurate and engaging

Content & Collateral

  • Create, format and update brochures, flyers, newsletters and social graphics using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Support content development for print and digital communications and ensure materials follow brand guidelines
  • Maintain an organized inventory and digital library of marketing materials; coordinate printing and distribution
  • Capture basic photography and short-form video content for social channels and internal use

Project Coordination & Marketing Operations

  • Coordinate project workflows: collect assets, route materials for review and follow up on approvals and deliverables
  • Coordinate vendor orders, invoices and production timelines for marketing materials and services
  • Organize marketing files, templates, brand assets and shared resources

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong written communication and proofreading ability
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools
  • Basic graphic design skills in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple small projects
  • Interest in growing a career in marketing, communications and digital content

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience capturing simple photography or short-form video on a smartphone
  • Exposure to basic analytics or social reporting tools
  • Experience with intranet or internal communications platforms
