Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Marketing Associate to support commercial and market activities for gas, NGL, and crude sales. This entry-level, full-time role works cross-functionally with operations, production, accounting, legal and external counterparties to evaluate commercial terms, support contract execution, and produce timely market and economic analysis that maximizes netback value.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate, negotiate and support execution of gas, NGL and crude sales and related commercial contracts
- Evaluate and recommend commercial and operational terms for gathering, transportation, processing, and purchase agreements
- Monitor and analyze market data; prepare concise market reports and economic summaries for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Division Operations, Drilling, Production, Accounting, Legal and external customers (pipelines, processors, marketers, refiners, LDCs)
- Provide market-area and economic evaluations to ensure production flows to highest netback markets
- Maintain accurate records of commercial terms and support internal approvals and contract management processes
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Entry-level: 0–2 years general work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coordinating across teams
Preferred
- Coursework or internship experience in energy markets, commercial analysis, or related fields
- Familiarity with midstream and marketing commercial terms (gathering, transportation, processing)
- Basic financial / economic evaluation skills (netback calculations, price differentials)
