What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Market Data Risk Applications Analyst to support market-data risk reporting, analytics, and third‑party risk activities. In this role you will collect and analyze market and vendor data, build reports and dashboards, and partner with cross‑functional teams to drive improvements in data quality and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze business and technical market data related to market-data risk and third‑party providers.
• Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and risk owners.
• Identify trends, patterns, data gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support integration of data from internal systems and third‑party vendors.
• Assist in data validation, documentation, and audit-ready reporting activities.
• Collaborate with risk, operations, and technology teams to translate business requirements into actionable metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with SQL for data querying.
• Experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau preferred).
• Clear written and verbal communication; strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or related).
• Entry-level to experienced candidates will be considered.
• Current residence in the United States and valid work authorization required.

Preferred / Helpful

• Experience in market-data, vendor/third‑party risk, or financial services analytics.
• Exposure to risk frameworks, controls testing, or regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Preferred work authorizations: F1 OPT, STEM OPT, EAD, U.S. Citizen.

• Location: California City, CA (onsite/depending on team needs).

Compensation

• Estimated base salary: $65,727 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location. This posting complies with applicable pay‑transparency requirements for the listing location.
