What You’ll Do
Lead and deliver advanced manufacturing, packaging and automation projects at-site. You'll combine technical problem-solving, project leadership and people coaching to improve throughput, quality and reliability across production lines.
- Own process engineering initiatives to identify and remove production losses and improve OEE using data-driven methods.
- Design and optimize converting & packaging systems (web processing, 3D modeling, mechatronics) to improve speed, yield and cost.
- Lead control systems and automation efforts: PLCs, robotics, industrial networks, HMI, drives and site electrical coordination.
- Manage capital projects (typically $2M+): scope, schedule, budget, vendor coordination and handoff to operations.
- Implement facility upgrades and warehouse automation (AGVs, automated racking) and coordinate utilities/logistics work.
- Coach and develop manufacturing teams; drive HS&E and Quality standards and adoption of digital solutions.
- Communicate results and align stakeholders from operators to senior leadership; travel as needed for cross-site projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial & Systems, Manufacturing, Operations Management).
- 0–5 years relevant experience (internships, co-ops, research projects count).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a data-driven approach to root-cause analysis.
- Demonstrated project mindset and ability to manage timelines, budgets and deliverables.
- Effective communicator with leadership potential and ability to coach cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to relocate during career and to travel ~10–25% as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct manufacturing experience (process, packaging, control systems).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience with PLCs, drives, HMIs, industrial networks, and robotics integration.
- Background in electrical distribution, facilities coordination or mechatronics.
- Prior experience leading capital projects in a production environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay range (posted by our client): $85,000 – $122,200 per year.
