Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead process engineering, converting/packaging engineering, and control systems engineering at a U.S. manufacturing site. This full-time, entry-level to early-career role (0–5 years) offers hands-on ownership of capital projects, automation, and operational improvements.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead process engineering efforts to identify and eliminate losses, improve OEE, and raise product quality using data-driven analysis.
  • Design and optimize converting and packaging systems, including web-processing, equipment improvements, and mechatronics-based solutions.
  • Develop and implement control systems and automation solutions (PLCs, robotics, industrial networks, HMI), and support site electrical/facilities upgrades.
  • Manage manufacturing capital projects (typically $2M+): scope, schedule, budget, risk and cross-functional deliverables from concept through handoff.
  • Drive HS&E and quality standards, coach and build team capabilities, and champion digital adoption and robotics/automation at the site.
  • Use analytics and continuous improvement methods to prioritize and deliver measurable operational gains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial & Systems, Manufacturing, Operations Management).
  • 0–5 years relevant experience (internships, co-ops, academic projects and research count).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to find root causes and develop technical, data-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrated project mindset: able to manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholders to drive results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and collaborate with operators, technical teams, and senior leaders.
  • Able to travel 10–25% as required by the role.
  • Willingness to consider relocation during career development; relocation support may be available to qualified candidates.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization/analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, HMIs, industrial network architectures, and facility electrical systems.
  • Prior exposure to process engineering, converting/packaging systems, and control systems engineering.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with capital project delivery.

Location, Compensation & Additional Info

  • Location: Hansen Road, WI (onsite).
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Starting pay / salary range (posted): $85,000 - $122,200 per year.
