What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Manufacturing Manager to lead advanced manufacturing, converting/packaging, and control-systems projects at a production site in Country Park Acres, NC. You will drive operational excellence, lead capital projects, and develop teams while applying modern automation and data-driven problem solving.
- Lead process engineering efforts to identify and eliminate losses, improve OEE, and raise product quality using data analysis.
- Own converting and packaging engineering improvements — drive web-processing, 3D modeling/mechatronics, and packaging-line optimization.
- Design and deploy control systems, automation, robotics, PLC solutions, and industrial software; support facilities electrical and distribution upgrades.
- Manage medium-to-large capital projects (typically $2M+): scope, schedule, budget, risk and cross-functional handoff.
- Coach, develop, and mentor technicians and engineers; embed HS&E and Quality standards into daily operations.
- Support implementation of digital solutions, warehouse automation (AGVs, automated racking), and utility/logistics improvements.
- Travel as required (typically 10–25%) and be willing to relocate across assignments during your career.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial & Systems, Manufacturing, Operations Management).
- 0–5 years relevant experience — internships, co-ops, academic projects and research count.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and technical curiosity to develop robust, data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated project mindset and ability to manage schedules, budgets and deliverables.
- Leadership potential and excellent communication skills across operator through senior-leader audiences.
- Agility to adapt to shifting project scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Willingness to relocate over the course of your career (relocation support may be available).
- Ability to travel 10–25% as business needs require.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing operations or process engineering.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools: Power BI, Tableau, SQL.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies: Lean, Six Sigma.
- Experience with controls, automation, robotics, PLCs, drives, HMI and industrial networks.
- Project management tool experience and prior capital project ownership.
- Demonstrated expertise in Process, Converting/Packaging, or Control Systems Engineering.

- Starting pay / salary range: $85,000 - $122,200 / year (listed range provided by the source).
