What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead advanced manufacturing, packaging, and controls projects at their Albany, OR manufacturing site. This hands-on role blends process engineering, converting & packaging, control systems, and project management to improve capacity, quality, and operational excellence.
- Lead process engineering and optimization efforts to eliminate losses, improve OEE, and raise product quality using data-driven analysis.
- Drive converting & packaging engineering initiatives—web-processing, 3D modeling, mechatronics, and packaging line optimization.
- Design and implement control systems, automation, robotics, and industrial software; manage site electrical systems and facility upgrades.
- Lead capital projects (typically $2M+) from concept through execution, managing scope, schedule, budget, and cross-functional deliverables.
- Coach and develop team capability, promote HS&E and quality standards, and support adoption of digital solutions and robotics.

Job Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial & Systems, Manufacturing, Operations Management).
- 0–5 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, academic projects count).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify root causes and develop technical solutions using data.
- Project mindset with demonstrated ability to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate across operator and management levels.
- Agility to adapt to changing scope, schedules, and priorities.
- Willingness to relocate during your career; relocation support may be available to those who qualify.
- Ability to travel 10–25% as business needs dictate.
Preferred
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience with controls, automation, robotics, PLCs, drives, and industrial networks.
- Proven background in Process, Converting/Packaging, or Control Systems Engineering.
- Experience with project management tools and capital project delivery.
