Program at a glance

  • Must be willing to relocate anywhere in the United States for both rotations

What You’ll Do

You’ll take on meaningful engineering responsibilities from day one, including:

  • Partner with engineers, operators, supervisors, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and performance
  • Analyze process, quality, and cost data and translate findings into practical improvements
  • Observe operations, diagnose problems, and recommend engineering solutions
  • Lead a scoped first-year project and present results to senior leaders
  • Execute a larger second-year project aligned with development goals and present a capstone at program completion
  • Communicate recommendations to both shop-floor teams and senior leadership

Projects may focus on manufacturing engineering, process improvement, quality, cost reduction, continuous improvement, data analysis, and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Degree completion in 2026 or 2027
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership through internships, student organizations, project teams, or work experience
  • Willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States for both rotations
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for orientation, program events, and facility visits

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant experience that strengthens an application:

  • Internship, co-op, research, or project experience in manufacturing or production
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods
  • Experience with CAD, simulation, data analysis, or related engineering tools
  • Coursework or projects in operations, supply chain, manufacturing systems, or engineering economics

Physical Requirements

The role includes both office and manufacturing-floor activity and may require:

  • Walking and moving throughout manufacturing areas to observe equipment and processes
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds (with assistance or lifting aid as appropriate)
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while inspecting equipment and components
  • Distinguishing visual detail for drawings, gauges, and measurement devices
  • Responding to audible alarms and instructions in a noisy production environment
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear)
  • Extended computer use for analysis, reporting, and presentations

Pre-Employment Requirements

After a conditional offer, a pre-employment drug screen is required. Testing and employment decisions will be administered in compliance with applicable law.
