Your Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineer supporting our confidential client’s remanufacturing operations in Strafford, MO, you will drive continuous improvement and support production through Order Fulfillment Processes (OFP) and Product Delivery Process (PDP) programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to improve Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery using data-driven methods
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Apply mistake-proofing approaches to high-risk and recurring nonconformances
  • Develop and maintain Operator Method Sheets (visual work instructions) and process routings
  • Specify, procure and validate tools, gauges, and fixtures; support justifications for machines and capacity increases
  • Use control plans, statistical process controls and process monitors to improve product quality
  • Support manufacturing equipment and assembly assist tools in assigned areas (e.g., JDAAT)
  • Develop material presentation and point-of-use strategies to improve flow and reduce waste
  • Participate on cross-functional Quality Improvement Teams (QIT) to raise assembly quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ years’ engineering or manufacturing experience (including relevant internships or project work)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, quality systems, preventive maintenance, and facilities
  • Experience developing operator work instructions and implementing process improvements
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Experience with line/process design, material presentation, line balancing, and visual management

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge of assembly line processes and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma fundamentals)
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Creo (3D modeling)
  • Familiarity with MPP work instruction / OMS development, JDAAT, SAP, Windchill or similar systems
  • Experience implementing engineering changes, time study, and standard data application
  • Previous work on strategic or medium-complexity tactical projects

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $67,692.00 – $101,532.00 per year (range provided by the confidential client)
  • Estimated market value for this posting: ~$98,442/year
