Position overview

This opportunity is for a Manufacturing Engineer supporting a confidential client in the engineering industry. The role is focused on day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality. The position supports new product launches, capital projects, equipment installations, and development of equipment preventative maintenance (PM) standards. The confidential client seeks mechanically minded candidates who can troubleshoot equipment and processes, work with vendors, and use CAD tools for tooling and fixture design when required.


What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes and equipment to maintain product quality and production uptime.
  • Develop, document, and maintain equipment and process standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support installations, new product launches, special projects, and capital projects in partnership with project management and cross‑functional teams.
  • Help develop equipment PMs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (TPS/lean).
  • Use CAD tools for tooling, jig, or fixture design as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment, parts, and services.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree OR 5+ years of related manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem solving.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic data analysis.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or other CAD tools; experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, machining, metal forming, hydraulics, and equipment installation is preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and communicate technical information to operators, technicians, and vendors.
  • Effective interpersonal and project collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of direct manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Experience with machining operations.
  • Robotics and PLC programming exposure (Allen‑Bradley, Mitsubishi PLC).
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, TPS).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $31.25 – $38.46 per hour (contract-to-hire).
