Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer (Entry Level) to support on-site weekend-shift manufacturing operations in Mount Vernon, IN. This role will act as a primary program coordinator for assigned projects, help develop recovery plans, review contract and design requirements, track deliverables, and support quoting and change management in collaboration with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator for assigned programs.
- Assist in developing and executing detailed recovery plans for projects.
- Review contract and design requirements to ensure acceptance of quality notifications.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Support the Unit Manager to maintain contract performance metrics.
- Interface with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to manage changes to component designs.
- Support quotes for new work by reviewing technical requirements and preparing person‑hour estimates.
- Perform special assignments and continuous improvement activities as needed.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Manufacturing Engineering Technology) or Physics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Willingness and ability to train on day shift prior to transitioning to the weekend schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience providing engineering support in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Strong organization, communication, and time‑management skills.
Schedule & Location
- On-site in Mount Vernon, Indiana (Mount Vernon, IN 47620).
- Position begins with training on day shift, then transitions to a 3‑day weekend schedule: Friday–Sunday, 12‑hour shifts (pay is for forty hours, three days per week).
