What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II (Weld & Fabrication focus) to support on-site production in Mount Vernon, MS. In this role you will support manufacturing process design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement for welded parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts and assemblies
  • Design production operation sequences, tooling, and equipment adaptations
  • Conduct tests throughout production to control variables and troubleshoot manufacturing issues of moderate scope
  • Collaborate with product design engineering to ensure manufacturability and proper use of equipment and techniques
  • Estimate manufacturing costs and establish time standards
  • Ensure production processes comply with relevant regulations and specifications (including MIL-Standards where applicable)
  • Maintain records and documentation of manufacturing operations and implemented solutions
  • Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information and support company compliance requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned; work extended hours as required

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 0–2 years of manufacturing engineering experience (entry-level acceptable with relevant hands-on welding/fabrication experience)
  • Hands-on welding and fabrication experience; working knowledge of weld inspection (CWI preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and diagrams
  • Experience with GD&T and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Experience interpreting specifications including MIL-Standards and weld procedures
  • Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required for this role
  • Willingness to travel 0%–25% as needed
