Role overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I for a 4‑month, onsite assignment in Warsaw, IN. This is an 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, temporary assignment supporting production of orthopedic components. The role focuses on process development, documentation control, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional project execution.
- Pay: $45.50 / hour
- Duration: 4 months (Temporary Assignment)

What you’ll do
- Provide manufacturing engineering support to enable efficient, compliant production processes.
- Maintain and improve controlled technical documents (prints, procedures, BOMs, routers).
- Support machining, finishing, forging, casting, cleaning, heat treating, bonding, molding and other processing applications.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate product cost and evaluate capital-equipment, capacity, and capability requirements.
- Improve process methods to meet performance, quality, and safety requirements.
- Execute project plans and schedules; deliver milestones on time.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (QA, Production, Design, Supply Chain) to recommend process and procedure changes.
- Provide training and guidance to entry‑level engineers and production personnel.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions using quality and statistical tools.
Who we’re looking for (minimum qualifications)
- B.S. in Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant engineering experience — OR
- Associate’s degree + 2 years relevant experience — OR
- High school diploma / equivalent + 4 years relevant experience.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Project.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and experience with quality/statistics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple medium‑complexity projects independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrated initiative with recommendations for process, procedure, and training improvements.
Preferred / nice to have
- Prior experience in medical device or orthopedics manufacturing (preferred).
- Experience with process validation, tool design, and cell management.
- Hands‑on experience with machining and finishing processes.
