What You’ll Do

This entry-level Manufacturing Engineer I role supports manufacturing and assembly activities for flight-control products at the confidential client’s East Irvine facility. Working under direct supervision, you will assist engineering and production teams to improve processes, ensure product quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in planning and designing manufacturing process flow, equipment, and tooling for new and existing products
  • Support process-improvement projects to raise efficiency, yield, safety, and reduce cost
  • Provide engineering design support and feedback to senior engineers to optimize manufacturability
  • Help ensure processes comply with applicable technical and regulatory standards
  • Investigate nonconformances and recommend corrective actions to resolve quality issues
  • Test and document new manufacturing methods, jigs, fixtures, and assembly layouts
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet production and quality goals

What We’re Looking For

The confidential client seeks candidates who can apply core engineering concepts and contribute to a manufacturing team in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (0–2 years’ experience)
  • Understanding of core engineering principles and a systematic analytical approach to problem solving
  • Familiarity with continuous-improvement methods (e.g., process mapping, JIT, pull systems)
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and comfort using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing)
  • Basic familiarity with data structures / database programming and data analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams

Compensation & Benefits

The confidential client provides a competitive total rewards package.

  • Pay range: $70,890 — $117,300 per year (posted range)
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
