What You’ll Do

This on-site, full-time role supports day-to-day production and continuous improvement at a manufacturing facility in Pomona, NY. You will work hands-on on the production floor to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, lead or support improvement projects, and perform CAD work to support fixtures and tooling.

• Support daily production by troubleshooting equipment, process, and quality issues on the floor
• Identify root causes of downtime, scrap, and quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, increase throughput, and improve uptime
• Evaluate and recommend process and equipment changes to improve product quality, lower costs, and enhance safety
• Assist Automation & Controls and Tooling & Molding teams with fixture design, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment documentation
• Perform 3D CAD modeling and drawing generation in SolidWorks for parts, fixtures, and production tooling
• Develop, update, and troubleshoot laser marking and engraving programs for part numbering, date coding, and branding
• Handle basic customer engineering requests (drawing revisions, print interpretation, sample coordination) under guidance
• Establish design criteria, perform simple design calculations, assist in materials selection, and create detailed drawings and specs
• Ensure compliance with applicable ISO/UL inspection callouts and maintain in-process inspection documentation
• Document processes, procedures, protocols, and training materials for shop floor staff and stakeholders
• Work within cross-discipline teams to produce drawings and specification documents for customers and internal engineering partners
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required / Core

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills with an interest in continuous improvement and process engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling and print generation)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team-oriented and client-focused attitude
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred / Helpful

• Understanding of, or strong interest in, plastic injection molding, automated finishing, and assembly techniques
• Experience or familiarity with laser marking/engraving program development
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or similar tools for artwork/logo manipulation
• Any hands-on manufacturing or production troubleshooting experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay: $48,000–$60,000 per year (range provided by the client)
• Benefits: 401(k), health, vision, dental (as offered by the client)

• Location: Pomona, NY (Rockland County) — this is an on-site role. Candidates must live in or have a reasonable daily commute to Rockland County.
• Employment type: Full-time

• This role involves regular time on the production floor and may require occasional overtime or shift adjustments to support production needs
