Overview

Confidential Client (Engineering) is hiring an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly operations in Davenport, IA. This hands-on role focuses on continuous improvement, process development, and small capital projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.


What You’ll Do

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects that target safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead and manage small- to moderate-scope capital projects from planning through implementation.
  • Establish and maintain production layouts, labor standards, work methods, and sequences for assembly operations.
  • Analyze, develop, and introduce new manufacturing processes and relevant technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations and production issues.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and ergonomic improvement ideas for loader cab assembly operations.

What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 1+ years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality systems, tooling, preventative maintenance, or facilities support.
  • Practical experience using engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Demonstrated experience leading or implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technology discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical preferred) or equivalent related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with assembly operations and labor standards development.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting loader cab or similar assembly lines is a plus.

Location & Work Authorization

  • Location: Davenport, IA (onsite).
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Estimated salary: $48,543 per year (estimated).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and eligible for W-2 employment; no third-party visa sponsorship is provided.
