What You’ll Do

You will work as a Manufacturing Engineer on a weekend shift supporting a defense manufacturing program. The role focuses on designing, documenting, and improving manufacturing tooling, equipment, and processes to increase reliability, quality, and throughput. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications into complete technical data packages to support fabrication and assembly.
  • Produce design documentation in accordance with company standards using CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to the production floor; diagnose and resolve integration issues using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Drive process improvements and implement new manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, tooling, and operations) to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and work within established configuration/control processes.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent education/experience.
  • Entry-level understanding of hand tools and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated basic problem-solving ability and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency or hands-on experience with CAD/modeling tools (AutoCAD, CREO, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/hold a Secret security clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Desired skills (preferred):

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and common manufacturing equipment/tools.
  • Experience with machine/tooling mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with general manufacturing and integration processes.
  • Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing methods.
  • Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and solve moderately complex manufacturing issues.

Pay & Benefits

  • Full-time salary range (provided by the client): $63,400 — $117,800 per year (actual offer depends on experience, education, and business factors).

Location & Clearance

  • Location: East Camden, AR (weekend shift schedule).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen. This facility requires special access; the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
  • This role is performed on-site at the client’s facility; remote work is not available for this position.
