What You’ll Do
Support a confidential client’s manufacturing and distribution operations on a 24‑month contract with a focus on process optimization, quality, and productivity.
- Support manufacturing and distribution operations with a focus on process optimization, quality enhancement, and productivity improvement.
- Conduct time studies, work measurement analyses, and labor evaluations to support incentive compensation programs (including CIPP-style programs).
- Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes, methods, tooling, and equipment designs to improve operational performance.
- Collaborate on preventive maintenance initiatives and facility-related operational improvements.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate process documentation, work instructions, and technical reports.
- Work cross-functionally to identify production issues, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide hands-on shop-floor support and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Maintain flexibility in schedules to meet business and production requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Preferred: 2+ years Manufacturing Engineering experience. Entry-level candidates with relevant internships, co-ops, or project experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with time studies, labor standards analysis, and work measurement activities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing/distribution processes, quality systems, tooling, process improvement, and facility operations.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Effective collaboration and communication with production teams and engineering groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements
- Approximately 60% of the workday spent standing and working on the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Hands‑on experience supporting production environments and driving operational efficiencies.
Role Details
- Location: Blackhawk Village, IA (onsite, shop-floor presence required)
- Duration: 24 months (possible extension)
- Employment Type: FULL_TIME (contract through a confidential client)
- Compensation: $33.00 USD per hour – $45.00 USD per hour
- Onsite expectation: Regular onsite/shop‑floor presence to support production
