Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing process design and equipment optimization. This role works with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to design production layouts, implement process controls (including Statistical Process Control — SPC), troubleshoot production problems, and support regulatory and quality requirements. What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
- Optimize plant machinery and equipment arrangement to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Develop operation sequences and procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment affecting product performance.
- Adapt and verify machine and equipment designs to meet factory and production requirements.
- Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production plans.
- Evaluate equipment and tooling performance; recommend improvements and corrective actions.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and drive corrective actions to maintain product quality.
- Support development and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) — collect and analyze data to reduce variation.
- Provide engineering guidance on design concepts and specifications to optimize manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure processes comply with applicable regulations, standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0+ years of relevant experience — entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production layouts, equipment, machining, and material handling.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment design, installation, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic statistical techniques is preferred.
- Ability to identify manufacturing issues, evaluate equipment performance, and support corrective actions.
- Understanding of inspection, testing processes, and applicable manufacturing regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality).
