What You’ll Do

As an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer (Automation), you’ll combine hands-on shop-floor experience with exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies to help modernize production and improve safety, quality and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, maintenance and engineering) to evaluate, pilot and implement automation solutions.

  • Support the evaluation, planning and implementation of manufacturing process automation projects to increase safety, reduce waste and boost throughput
  • Assist in researching and piloting advanced technologies (robotics, AI-assisted tools, digital manufacturing, IIoT)
  • Collect, analyze and visualize production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements
  • Participate in root-cause investigations and corrective action implementation for process issues
  • Help redesign production lines and factory layouts to improve workflow, ergonomics and scalability
  • Develop and update work instructions, SOPs and training materials to ensure consistent adoption of new processes
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, process mapping) on the production floor
  • Communicate project status and technical recommendations clearly to stakeholders and shop-floor teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; exposure to process automation or process improvement preferred
  • Basic familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts, process mapping and value-stream thinking
  • Interest or experience with automation-related technologies (robotics, PLCs, digital manufacturing tools, IIoT, or AI-assisted analytics)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with production data
  • Effective verbal and written communicator; collaborative team player
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and eager to learn on the shop floor
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Compensation (Estimated)

  • Estimated base salary: $76,609 per year (estimated)
