Position summary

Confidential Client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing Engineer I level) to join their Auburn, AL facility. This intermediate-level role focuses on process and product improvements, production support, and manufacturability evaluations to increase product quality, output, and cost effectiveness.


What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and modify equipment to ensure safety, quality, and production efficiency; implement corrective actions.
  • Review and verify accuracy of procedures and bills of materials.
  • Negotiate final designs to ensure manufacturability and meet product requirements.
  • Conduct testing and evaluation of products, processes, and testing procedures.
  • Lead and contribute to process and product improvement studies (layout, line efficiency, control).
  • Contribute to failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) and risk mitigation.
  • Manage product or process development projects and collaborate on technical program objectives.
  • Recommend and support deployment of new equipment and tooling.
  • Provide technical support to cross-functional teams to ensure new products/processes are manufacture-ready.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Approximately 1 year of related professional engineering experience (entry/intermediate level).
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in production tooling, process changes, and manufacturing support (internships, co-ops, coursework, clubs, or hobbies).
  • Familiarity with DFA/DFM concepts and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work across disciplines and lead project tasks.
  • Basic business acumen and understanding of financial impacts of engineering work.

Work Location & Logistics

  • On-site: Candidates must be able to work on-site at the Auburn, AL facility (on-site schedule required).
  • Relocation assistance: Not eligible.

  • International relocation or remote work outside the U.S. will not be considered.
