What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer on 3rd shift, you will provide hands-on technical and floor support for painting and media-blast operations, with a focus on Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) processes. You’ll work closely with production teams to ensure parts and equipment meet engineering, quality, and safety requirements.
- Help research, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, methods, fixtures, tooling, equipment, and materials for painting and blast operations.
- Assist in developing and testing work methods and procedures to ensure product, machine, and material performance meets specifications and standards.
- Support daily operations related to preparation and painting of equipment to military and industry standards.
- Perform technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluations to resolve manufacturing issues and support corrective actions.
- Analyze design specifications, drawings, documentation, and test results to confirm compliance with engineering standards and product requirements.
- Select appropriate manufacturing methods from available alternatives and support implementation on the shop floor.
- Contribute to engineering tasks of moderate complexity (design, development, experimentation, and product assurance) for assigned portions of projects.
- Work with production and quality teams to meet cost, schedule, performance, and quality objectives.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline OR equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Familiarity with full-face continuous-flow respirators and ventilation systems; safe use and maintenance.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action processes.
- Hands-on floor support experience and the ability to work directly with shop employees to implement solutions.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a collaborative, team-based manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with military vehicles or military-grade surface treatments (CARC).
- Experience with commercial blast-room equipment and bead blasting processes.
- AMPP (or similar) certification in spray-painting processes for vehicles/equipment.
- Experience with gage/equipment calibration and ISO 9001 practices.
Shift & Location
- Shift: 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Location: Fayfield, PA (on-site)
This is an on-site, full-time role. Candidates must be willing and able to work the scheduled overnight shift and be available for on-site floor support activities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time salary range: $59,023 – $100,339 per year (range provided by our client; actual pay depends on experience, skills, and local market factors).
