Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to join Supply Chain / Operations Engineering in Savannah, GA (onsite). This role supports supplier collaboration, manufacturing methods, tooling, and MBOM/planning activities. Flexible schedules (4x10 or 5x8) are available.
Estimated pay: $89,016 per year (estimated). Full-time, First shift. Up to 25% travel.

You'll work with experienced engineers, suppliers, and procurement to solve technical manufacturing and tooling issues while learning aircraft component manufacturing and supply chain processes.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a technical link among engineering, suppliers, and procurement to resolve manufacturing, tooling, and purchased-part issues.
- Study current and proposed operations and recommend practical manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, production flow, and work sequences.
- Create clear work and rework instructions to support efficient production and reduce defects.
- Build and maintain manufacturing bills of material (MBOM) and planning information in applicable systems (e.g., SAP, Solumina, Corridor).
- Review engineering drawings to evaluate producibility and identify manufacturing risks.
- Gather and analyze manufacturing data, develop tracking tools, and help design system-based remedies for recurring issues.
- Support make-or-buy evaluations, corrective actions, quality improvements, and special projects with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma thinking while supporting safety, sustainability, ergonomics, and business continuity efforts.

- Within 90 days you’ve built relationships with key stakeholders and understand decision drivers.
- You’ve developed working knowledge of the supplier base, components, and supply chain engineering processes.
- You contribute to projects under guidance and complete assigned work reliably.
- Your work instructions, planning details, tracking tools, and system updates are accurate and useful on the floor.
- You investigate problems using data and engineering judgment and recommend practical next steps.
- You collaborate across teams while keeping quality, safety, and continuous improvement front and center.
What You Will Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Fall 2026 graduates considered; degree must be completed before start.)
- Foundational knowledge of configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.
- Ability to use engineering software and applications (examples: CADAM, CATIA).
- Basic knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred
- General aerospace knowledge and familiarity with component manufacturing and tooling methods.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methods or Six Sigma training.
- Lean Specialist certification or higher-level Lean certification.
