What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer to support weekend-shift production operations. This role acts as a program coordinator and technical support partner to Manufacturing and Design teams to keep projects on schedule, manage changes, and support quoting and recovery plans.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact / coordinator for assigned programs
  • Assist in developing detailed recovery plans for projects
  • Review contract and design requirements to support acceptance of quality notifications
  • Track project schedules and deliverables and report status
  • Work with the Unit Manager to maintain contract performance metrics
  • Interface with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to manage changes to component designs
  • Support quotes for new work by reviewing technical requirements and preparing person-hour estimates
  • Perform special assignments as required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Manufacturing Engineering Technology) or Physics
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance (required)
  • U.S. citizenship required due to clearance eligibility
  • Ability to train on first shift before transitioning to the weekend shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • Prior experience providing engineering support in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with SAP (preferred)

Schedule & Location

  • On-site in Mount Vernon, IN (Confidential Client site)
  • Training begins on day shift, then transitions to a 3-day weekend schedule: Friday–Sunday, 12-hour shifts (pay provided for 40 hours/week)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $65,000 - $103,000 per year (Indiana). Final offer will consider job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other business factors.
