What You’ll Do
This entry-level Manufacturing Engineer will support program coordination, engineering reviews, and production readiness for manufactured components. You will act as a central point of contact between Design and Manufacturing Engineering and help ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and contract requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator for assigned programs
- Assist in developing detailed recovery plans to address project schedule or performance issues
- Review contract and design requirements to support acceptance of quality notifications
- Track project schedules, deliverables, and contract performance metrics with the Unit Manager
- Coordinate changes to component designs between Design and Manufacturing Engineering
- Support quotes for new work by reviewing technical requirements and preparing person-hour estimates
- Perform special assignments and continuous improvement activities as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Manufacturing Engineering Technology) or Physics
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Must be a U.S. citizen (role requires eligibility for federal access and clearances)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Civil Engineering
- Prior experience supporting engineering in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Familiarity with SAP
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $70,000 - $103,000 per year (Indiana)

The base salary range listed is the expected range at the start of employment in Indiana and may vary based on candidate experience, skills, and other business considerations.
Location & Worksite
On-site in Mount Vernon, Indiana (this role is not remote). Candidates must be willing to work at the Mount Vernon facility and comply with site health and safety requirements.
Additional Information & Hiring Conditions
